the $5450.00 question: Why did EBE get city funds for events that never happened?

Just another example of Elkhart being ripped off by it's own people and it's leaders. Some really great events that never took place. No wonder our youth are soo discouraged. Many people could have really benefitted or been inspired by these performers. What a shame.

So is this like a legitimate way in stealing monies? But to have tp pay back on what wasnt built is wrong. so would that be money and power or the power of money? Nothing gained and nothing claimed , except a big grant that grown interest in a false bank account, Confussed.

This story really hits the nail on the head. We continue to elect people with either no training or conflicts of interest that do not know their duty of office. Then we put them in a position of taking a lawyers word for facts and law so they can say "thats what the lawyer said", rather than take responsibility themselves. Just look at the Mayors response, it is exactly contrary to the requirements for the grant. Is he qualified? Can he read? Why doesn't he?

Keep up the good work...follow the money. Don't leave court cases out of your investigation. Start with claims of fraud that are swept under the rug, you'll find intimidated victims create a pattern where honest services of judges and attorneys are lacking and much more money involved. I'll show you proof of (my) $70,000 modular home that was stolen, open fraud prevailed in court involving the prosecutor and the thief has the stolen house now, six years later (with judge threats of serious retaliation should I appeal).

And to the best of my knowledge...there will be no criminal investigation on this.

A complete scam, fraud, theft....whatever they want to call it. But nobody is going to do anything about it now!
